LAS FOTOS PROJECT
Las Fotos Project is a community-based nonprofit organization that inspires teenage girls through photography, mentorship, and self-expression. Offering year-round programming, they provide girls with access to professional cameras, quality instruction and workshops that encourage them to explore their identity, build leadership and advocacy skills, and strengthen their social and emotional well-being. We are working on something new and exciting with Las Fotos Project for some of our content coming up, stay tuned!
DOWNTOWN WOMEN'S HEALTH CENTER
The Downtown Women’s Center (DWC) is the only organization in Los Angeles focused exclusively on serving and empowering women experiencing homelessness and formerly homeless women.
COMPTON GIRLS CLUB
Compton Girls Club is a client-centered girls empowerment group based in Compton California. They reach out to girls via workshops, introductions to new skills, and field trips. These meetings take place several times a month within high schools and local community centers. They connect girls with the resources that are available within their communities. With this, they will begin to see the value of their own neighborhoods.
GLOBAL FUND FOR WOMEN
At Global Fund for Women, grassroots movements have the power to disrupt the status quo and radically alter the course of history for women and girls—and all historically marginalized people and communities globally. Anchored in feminist principles, they leverage deeply rooted relationships and technical expertise to equip movements with flexible financing and resources to maximize their impact. Educate and engage sector leaders including donors, policymakers, and the media to create favorable conditions for movements to thrive. And, they document and share learnings to strengthen activist efforts globally. By providing more to movements, we are shifting power towards women, girls, and all marginalized people worldwide.
LGBTQ FREEDOM FUND
LGBTQ Freedom Fund pays bail to secure the liberty and safety of low-income individuals in U.S. jails and immigration facilities, with focus on LGBTQ individuals. LGBTQ people are disproportionately jailed in America, a problem precipitated by poverty and discrimination— in school, employment, policing, family, and society at large. In tandem with direct service, we raise awareness of this epidemic of over incarceration.
